Formerly the Manager of Parks and Recreation for the City and County of Denver, Robson was appointed by Mayor John Hickenlooper and has been with the City of Denver since 2007. In his role, he oversees an operational budget of approximately $46 million dollars, 500 full-time staff and has had the opportunity to play significant roles in planning the 2008 Democratic National Convention and the 2010 Biennial of the Americas in Denver. The City of Denver’s Park & Recreation system includes over 20,000 acres of urban and mountain parks along with 26 recreation centers and 7 municipal golf courses.
Before joining the Hickenlooper administration in 2007, Robson worked for the U.S. National Park Service, Boulder County Government, and Grand County Government in Colorado. Robson earned his Master’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, and his Bachelor’s in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
