Adonia is a cultural anthropologist and an activist. Since June 2008, she’s been blogging about her carfree adventures as a Chicana woman because she believes our cities can be socially equitable and sustainable. In Los Angeles, she co-founded CicLAvia and City of Lights/ Ciudad de Luces (now Multicultural Communities for Mobility). She also created labikemvmt.org, a collaborative history of the LA bike movement. In 2012, as the Seattle Bike Justice Project, she conducted interviews about bicycling with leaders in Seattle’s communities of color. She currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she is the Equity Initiative Manager at the League of American Bicyclists.
