Building a sidewalk or a bike path is crucial to ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists alike. It’s hard to imagine Hermosa Beach without its famous path, The Strand. The city council initially said no to the meandering bike path because they thought it would disrupt the volleyball and other activities that go on the beach, explains the former mayor featured in the above video.
